Who SLPlayground is for
SLPlayground provides speech and language games used by speech-language pathologists (SLPs), educators, and families. Our customers and account holders are adults. SLPlayground is a tool a clinician or adult uses during a session — it is not a service directed to children for the purpose of collecting their personal information.
We never collect children's information
SLPlayground does not collect, store, or transmit any child's name or personal information. Games do not ask children to enter names, contact details, or any identifying information. Any record connecting a game or activity to a specific student is created and kept by the supervising clinician within their own systems — never by SLPlayground. We have no way to identify the individual children who play our games.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the service:
Contact information you give us: When you join our beta, contact us, or create an account, we collect your name and email address.
Payment information (for paid plans): If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details; Stripe handles that on its secure, PCI-compliant systems.
Basic usage data: Like most websites, our host (Squarespace) may collect standard technical information such as browser type, device, and pages visited, to keep the site running and secure.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve the service, send you access and account information, respond to your messages, process payments for paid plans, and send occasional updates if you've opted in. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run SLPlayground — for example, our website host (Squarespace), our payment processor (Stripe), and our email tools — and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information and rely on established providers (such as Squarespace and Stripe) to handle data and payments securely. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to collect as little of it as possible.
